United Feature Syndicate, Inc. 1978 "I'm Easy to Get Along With..." Garfield Mug

A Garfield drink mug made for McDonald's by Anchor Hocking featuring Garfield on one side rowing a boat with the thought bubble "I'm Easy to Get Along With When Things Go My Way" and the other side has Odie paddling on the back of the boat.  The mug measures 3 1/2" tall and a rim diameter of 3 1/8".  The bottom is impressed with the Anchor Hocking logo.  The condition is very good, with bright strong graphics and only one tiny 1/8" scratch.

During the 1970s and 1980s, McDonald's offered promotional items to its customers with the purchase of a happy meal.  Jim Davis' Garfield mugs were good quality glass made by Anchor Hocking and sported quality graphics.  So far, I have seen the following mugs and will update if I come across new ones:

1. Side 1:  "The Early Cat Gets the Hotcake" and Side 2:  "This is the Only Alarm Clock I need to Set."
2. Side 1:  "Such a Beautiful Sunset...and Me Without a Horse" and Side 2:  "I've Never Seen a Sunrise...I'm Waiting for the Movie."
3. Side 1:  "Use Your Friends Wisely."
4. Side 1:  "Whoever invented evenings probably invented teddy bears too." and Side 2:  "I'd like mornings better if they started later."
5. Side 1:  "I never met a dinner I didn't like." and Side 2:  "And what will you fellas have for breakfast."
6. Side 1:  "I'm not one who rises to the occasion."
7. Side 1:  "It's not a pretty life but somebody has to live it."
8. Side 1:  "I'm easy to get along with when things go my way."
