The Edge of the Sea by Rachel Carson is a 238-page paperback, A Signet Science Library Book published by The New American Library, seventh printing, 1955, illustrated by Bob Hines. Outside, there is a faint crease along the bottom front cover and a couple areas of light staining along the spine. Inside, the pages are clean and unmarked but there is tanning along the page borders. The binding is tight but may be dry due to age. There are a couple dogeared pages in the back and a tiny chip out of the last page.
