A small hand painted vase with buttressed handles and colorful gilded and raised relief designs of immortal Kannon, Goddess of mercy and compassion. The ground color is brown, with colorful blues, greens, and oranges signifying water and sky. The vase stands 5" tall and is 2 2/4" wide with a rim opening of 1 3/4". The bottom is marked "Made in Japan." The condition is excellent, free of chips or cracks.
