Book Summary
Toymaking is a creative, satisfying, useful and above all inexpensive hobby. Most of the toys in this book are made form everyday materials--scraps of paper, beads, corks, hair rollers, macaroni, Plasticine, dried beans, raffia--and with very simple tools. The toys range from windmills and kites to a hobby horse and a Noah's ark, and are arranged in sections--those for cutting and sticking, those for sewing and those for carpentry. Some can be made by children themselves, all by a determined adult, and the results will appeal to children of all ages. There are full instructions here for making some 40 toys, together with step-by-step drawings and diagrams, and 4 pages of full color.
