A large ceramic bowl featuring transfer ware images of birds and flowers both inside the bowl and around the outside rim and accented by a gilt rim and a house scene in the bottom of the bowl by Portleaux Vallerysthal France. The bowl measures 11" in diameter across the rim, 5 3/8" across the footed base, and is 3 1/2" high. The bottom is stamped "PV Made in France 38" and impressed with the number "5." The condition is good, but with visible age-related crazing to the glaze.
