I think these shallow stoneware bowls would make cool coin dishes and I also put one of my battery-operated tealight candles in it and it emits a lovely warm glow...In any event, this is a handmade shallow stoneware container with rounded body leading to narrow round opening and finished with a splattering of purple glazes over a grayish base color. The container measures 4 1/2" wide and 2 7/8" high. The bottom is signed by the maker and the condition is very good.
