A small oval earthenware bowl with scalloped rim featuring three hand-painted calla lilies on a royal blue background from Talavera, Mexico. The dish measures 5 3/4" across, 4 1/2" wide, and 1 5/8" high. The bottom is marked "Tal" "Mex" which stands for "Talavera Mexico" and the condition is very good.
Talavera pottery is a type of majolica earthenware and is made in central Mexico by hand. No two pieces are exactly the same.
