A large urn-shaped export ware Satsuma vase decorated with Samurai Warriors on both sides and finished with heavy gilding and colorful beading and moriage on a crackled beige background. The vase measures 4 3/8" across the rim, 4" across the base, 7 1/4" across the mid-body, 13" high, and nearly 4 pounds. The bottom is marked "Made in Japan" and the condition is very good, with no chips, cracks, or repairs.
