A glossy brown glazed bowl with abstract colorful lion hand-painted in vibrant blue, white, gold, and brown. The dish measures 14 3/4" across, 7 1/2" wide, and 2 3/4" high. The bottom is marked with the model number "C 40" but the maker is unknown; however this looks like a West German-style piece. There appears to be a small factory impression in the glaze that is not of any consequence. Otherwise, the condition is very good, with no chips, cracks, crazing, or repairs.
