A hand-painted ceramic humpback whale figurine affixed to porous white rock by House of Nene. The figurine measures 6 1/2" long and sits 4 1/4" high. The whale has a beautiful blue and green lava-style glaze that shows no signs of chips, cracks, or repairs. The condition is excellent.
A whale whose back is not humped at all but was so named because of its highly arched back position while diving, this whale is also known as "the singing whale." It often sings complex songs of three top four hours in length. Humpback whales spend the winter months in Hawaiian waters off Maui.
