Although marked "Japan" on the bottoms, these ceramic vases have a decidedly Italian Capodimonte feel, with vibrant use of color, raised cupids, and gilding throughout. Each vase measures 6 1/2" across the top-set handles, 4 1/2" across the base, and 10 1/4" high. "Hinode" is marked on the bottom and the country of origin, "Japan," and although due to age there is visible glaze crazing, there are no chips, cracks, or repairs. As this is an old soft paste porcelain, it is recommended that these vases be used for dry flower arrangements as water may seep through the base because it is so porous..
