A reddish brown leather handbag with adjustable shoulder strap from Etienne Aigner. Outside, the bag has two single open compartments: one in the back and a discreet one in the front as well as decorative reinforced corners, and brass hardware throughout including the iconic horseshoe logo on the front. A metal zipper open to reveal a central open compartment, a zipper pocket, and three smaller open compartments for cell phone, pens, etc. The handbag measures 9 1/2" across, 7" tall, with an additional 13" or more when factoring in the adjustable shoulder strap drop, and an internal depth of 6 1/4". The condition of the bag is very good, with very little signs of use.
From Wilipedia: Etienne Aigner was born in Hungary in 1904. First a bookbinder, he started creating high-end leather goods such as handbags and belts for boutiques in Paris. In 1950, after apprenticing with Christian Dior and Cristobal Balenciaga, he came to New York to expand his business. The brand's signature color is called "Antic Red" and the Aigner logo is the letter "A" shaped into a horseshoe. "AIGNER gave its products a rural, countrystyle feel. There was always a sense of the racecourse, a feeling of being by the fireside. A phenomenon that can still be felt today" (quote source: www.aignermunich.com). Mr. Aigner died in New York City in 2000 at the age of 96.
