Blue and White Lidded Soup Tureen with Asian Bird Designs

A heavy stoneware lidded soup tureen featuring repeating design around the rims and encircled birds.  The pot measures 8 1/4" across the bottom rim, 9 1/4" across the lid rim, 7 1/2" high to the handle and weighing nearly five pounds.  The maker is unknown and the condition is very good, with no chips, cracks, repairs, or hint of use.
