Onion River Pottery (Vermont, USA) Stoneware Sugar Bowl or Pencil Cup

A handmade stoneware sugar bowl or pencil cup from Onion River Pottery featuring a cameo of a horse carriage that just traveled through a covered bridge finished with a speckled tan and white glaze.  There is a little glaze pop to the lid so if the lid is discarded, this would make a charming pencil cup.  The piece measures 3 1/2" wide and nearly 3 1/2" high.  The bottom is stamped "Onion River Pottery (Name I can't read) Vermont" and despite that glaze pop on the lid, the condition is very good.
